Notes:
Uranium is a radioactive element that is the heaviest naturally occurring
element. It is an important nuclear fuel. One pound of uranium renders about
the same amount of energy as three million pounds of coal. It has a silvery
white color. It is ductile, malleable, and competent of taking a high polish.
Uranium-238 after being absorbed by neutrons and undergoing negative beta
decay becomes the element plutonium.
